The source material Coassemble can build a course from, and how much of your original wording it keeps.

Coassemble builds courses from content you already have: documents, presentations, SCORM packages, files in your cloud storage, or just a written brief. The AI agent turns your source material into an interactive course, and you choose how closely it follows your original.

You don't have to start from a blank page. The clearer and better-structured your starting file, the better the result.

What you can build from

  • Documents: Word files, PDFs and text files. The agent breaks your content into logical screens grouped into sections.
  • Presentations: PowerPoint and Keynote decks, so you can reuse a deck rather than starting over.
  • SCORM packages: upload a package from Articulate Rise or Storyline, Adobe Captivate or iSpring and convert it into a fully editable Coassemble course. Text, images, galleries, flashcards, process steps, accordions and knowledge checks carry across, and anything that couldn't be converted is listed for review rather than silently dropped.
  • A prompt: if you don't have a file, describe your topic and the agent builds a course from that.
  • Files in your cloud storage: pull source documents straight from Google Drive or OneDrive.

When you upload a single document or a SCORM package, the agent asks how faithful to be:

  • Verbatim: keeps your wording exactly as written. Use it for policies, compliance content and anything that has been approved word for word.
  • Structured: reorganises your material into a clear learning flow while keeping the content itself.
  • Adaptive: rewrites and expands your material into a fuller course.

You aren't asked this for a prompt on its own, or when you upload several documents at once.

Get the best results

The agent works from the structure of your source file, so a little preparation goes a long way:

  • Use clear headings and bullet points, which help the agent interpret hierarchy and flow.
  • For PDFs, use real, text-based files rather than scans, so the text can be read.
  • Treat the first build as a draft. You can keep talking to the agent to reshape it, or edit screens directly.

Do I need a file to create a course?

No. You can build from a document, presentation or SCORM package you already have, pull a file from cloud storage, or just describe your topic in a prompt.

What file types can I use?

Word, PowerPoint, Keynote, PDF, text and rich text files, and SCORM packages from Articulate Rise and Storyline, Adobe Captivate and iSpring. Document transformation has a 50MB file size limit.

Can I keep my wording exactly as it is?

Yes. Choose Verbatim when the agent asks how closely to follow your source, and your text is carried across as written.

Will the generated course be final?

No. You get a strong first draft, then refine it by asking the agent for changes or editing the screens yourself.
